Commented YOUTUBE on the reel? Here is the free skills repository and a practical setup for your first video: write in Claude, generate scenes with Higgsfield, then edit and upload yourself.
Cost, checked September 29, 2026: the 11 skills are free and open source under MIT, with no signup or YouTube API key for the pack. You still need access to Claude. Higgsfield is paid for this workflow. Its Starter listing begins at US$19/month billed annually; confirm billing and final price at checkout. The MCP integration requires an active paid subscription, and generations spend credits. “Unlimited” and free site generations do not apply to MCP.
Install the skills
Choose one route from the project README:
A. Ask Claude. Paste this into a Claude conversation that can install skills, then verify it really installed:
https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/youtube-agent-skill Install this skill, then confirm /yt-script works.
B. Claude Code, manual installation. With Git and Claude Code available, run in your terminal:
git clone https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/youtube-agent-skill.gitmkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r youtube-agent-skill/skills/yt-* ~/.claude/skills/For project-only use, copy the same folders into your project's .claude/skills/ instead.
C. Claude Code plugin. Run inside Claude Code:
/plugin marketplace add Jakeschincariol/youtube-agent-skill
/plugin install youtube-agent
Fill in templates/voice.md with your speaking style and examples. With the manual clone from B, copy it like this:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/youtube && cp youtube-agent-skill/templates/voice.md ~/.claude/youtube/voice.mdFor A or C, download the template and save it as ~/.claude/youtube/voice.md. Ask Claude to help write it from three of your own videos if you have them. Now test /yt-script an idea for a beginner pasta recipe in a new conversation. If the command is not available, check the installation before moving on.

The eleven jobs
| Skill | What it delivers |
|---|---|
/yt-script | Five scored hooks from 21 formulas, then a spoken script with retention beats. |
/yt-package | A title and thumbnail pairing checked for duplication and vagueness. |
/yt-edit | A timecoded edit decision list from your transcript: dead air, fillers and retakes. |
/yt-comment | Comments in four piles, replies in your voice, and a pin suggestion. |
/yt-plan | A week within your hours: an anchor, a simpler video and three Shorts. |
/yt-viral | Public niche videos ranked against each channel's own median; supply links or data as needed. |
/yt-retention | Your exported retention report: hook leak, cliffs and the slow slide. |
/yt-shorts | Potential Shorts in a long transcript and a new opening line for each. |
/yt-seo | Description, useful tags and three target queries. |
/yt-chapters | Transcript chapters checked against YouTube's rules. |
/yt-audit | A channel review that ends with one fix. |
Copy these three prompts. /yt-edit needs your timecoded transcript for useful cut points.
/yt-script Explain an easy pasta recipe to first-time cooks. Give me five scored hooks, choose the clearest, then write a one-minute spoken script in my voice.md style. Do not invent numbers.
/yt-viral Analyze these public beginner-recipe video links: [paste links or data]. Compare each video with its own channel median. Ask me for data if you cannot access the public figures; do not invent views.
/yt-edit Here is my timecoded transcript: [paste transcript]. Give me an edit decision list for pauses, fillers and retakes. Do not claim to have cut the file.
Connect Higgsfield to Claude
No Higgsfield account yet? Create one here (affiliate link: I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you). Then, in Claude web or Desktop, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it Higgsfield, paste the official endpoint below, select Connect, then sign in and authorize Higgsfield. Some versions start at Customize → Connectors. The official Higgsfield MCP page also has a direct Claude connection link.
https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcpIn a fresh chat, ask Claude for your Higgsfield credit balance. Check the model's credit cost before approving a generation. Higgsfield documents a different CLI route for Claude Code; the connector steps here are for Claude web/Desktop. We did not include an unverified screenshot of a logged-in Connectors screen.
Make your first video
- Ask
/yt-scriptfor a script on your topic. Pick a hook and rewrite anything that does not sound like you. - With Higgsfield connected, ask Claude: “Generate a reference image and short 16:9 scenes for this script in Higgsfield. First show model, duration and credit cost, and wait for my approval before generating. Keep the character and style consistent.” For an avatar, request a fictional host and check voice/image rights.
- Download the assets. Assemble the scenes in a video editor, add narration or captions, check the result, and upload it yourself. If you have a timecoded transcript,
/yt-editcan suggest cuts; it cannot export a finished video.
A few seconds of generated video are not a finished episode. Budget for multiple scenes, sound and editing before approving credits.
Three channels to try
Kids' stories: an original character, with no borrowed cartoon designs.
/yt-script A curious fox learns to share toys. Audience: children watching with parents. Give me five gentle hooks and a short script, with no scares or copyrighted characters. Then suggest scenes for me to approve in Higgsfield.
Recipes: show steps people can actually follow. Verify quantities and cooking times.
/yt-script Tomato pasta for someone who has never cooked. Give me five hooks and a step-by-step script. Flag ingredients and timings I need to check. Then suggest close-up preparation scenes for Higgsfield.
Football: fictional match visuals, never presented as real footage.
/yt-script Explain offside to a beginner using a fictional match. Five hooks, a short script and 16:9 Higgsfield scene ideas. No real match footage, unlicensed team logos or invented statistics.
FAQ
Is it really free? The MIT skills are free. Claude access depends on your plan. Higgsfield MCP requires an active paid subscription and uses credits. Starter was advertised from US$19/month billed annually on September 29, 2026; check checkout and taxes.
Does it post to my channel? No. These skills write. You upload.
Outside Claude Code? The README says you can paste an individual SKILL.md into another chat as a prompt-only mode, but you lose the six Python tools. /yt-script, /yt-retention and /yt-edit lose the most. That is not a complete installation.
YouTube API key? None for these skills; there is nothing to connect to YouTube. Higgsfield is a separate account connection with separate costs.
Codex or other agents? This repo does not document or verify a full installation there. Pasting one SKILL.md as instructions may help, but does not guarantee commands, Python tools or Higgsfield access. Follow the documented Claude Code routes for the complete pack.
