Commented ACHA? Here's the command and the step-by-step guide. There are so many skills that someone built a skill to find skills. If I could recommend just one to start with, it would be find-skills.

What it does

find-skills helps your AI coding agent find task-specific instructions on skills.sh. It does not do the task for you or certify a recommendation as safe.

It lives in Vercel Labs' open-source vercel-labs/skills repository (MIT). On 7 October 2026 it topped the skills.sh all-time chart with about 3.6 million installs; the repository had about 33.3 thousand stars. Counts change and do not prove safety.

Install in three steps

  1. Get Node.js with npm (npx) and a supported coding agent: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode. Open a terminal in the project where you use the agent. This does not install a skill on chatgpt.com.
  2. Open the original repository, read SKILL.md, then copy:
Terminal
npx skills add vercel-labs/skills --skill find-skills
  1. If prompted, choose your agent. Open or restart it in that project and ask: “Find a skill to improve my store's design. Show options and repository links; don't install anything until I approve.” Results vary. This is an example request, not a reproduced test.

You can also search from the terminal. Replace topic with a specific task:

Terminal
npx skills find <topic>

To install a result, replace the placeholders with the repository and skill name from the result after reviewing its files:

Terminal
npx skills add <owner/repo> --skill <name>

Five example requests

Examples to try, not tested results. Ask for repository links and review before installing:

  1. Store: “Find a skill to improve the product pages of my online store. Who maintains it?”
  2. Presentation: “Find a skill to outline a simple client presentation. Show the repository.”
  3. Spreadsheet: “Find a skill to clean a sales spreadsheet and summarize it without uploading private data.”
  4. Instagram: “Find a skill for planning a small shop's Instagram calendar. Don't publish anything.”
  5. Website: “Find a skill to review my site's mobile layout and accessibility.”

In the report behind this guide, asking to fix a store's design surfaced anthropics/skills frontend-design near the top. A bare npx skills find planilha returned weak matches. We did not reproduce either search here. Describe your task in plain language to the agent; try more specific or English terms if needed.

Check safety before installing another skill

  1. Open the repository. Check the publisher and whether it is an official source.
  2. Look at installs, stars and the latest commit for context, not as a safety certificate.
  3. Read SKILL.md and any scripts it runs. Watch for requests for secrets, broad access or commands you cannot explain. Don't approve an installation blindly.

find-skills prefers popular options and recognizable sources, but does not audit each skill's security. Its own skills.sh listing shows a Snyk “Warn” badge; that badge isn't a verdict on other skills it finds.

Limits, cost and Brazil

The CLI and repository are MIT-licensed; the coding agent you choose may cost money. Search quality varies. Skills made specifically for Brazil, including Pix or NF-e workflows, remain hard to find; do not assume a generic skill understands local requirements.

Three everyday Brazilian tasks to ask about, not claims that suitable skills exist: review a Pix statement without sharing personal data; organize NF-e XML files without issuing invoices; write Brazilian Portuguese product descriptions for an online shop. If no trustworthy skill exists, ask your agent to help directly and review its output yourself.

Anonymous CLI usage telemetry is on by default. Disable it for this command with:

Terminal
DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1 npx skills add vercel-labs/skills --skill find-skills

On Windows PowerShell set $env:DISABLE_TELEMETRY='1' first. The README also supports DO_NOT_TRACK=1.

FAQ

Do I need to code? Not to describe your task, but installation requires a compatible agent and a terminal. Ask for help if commands are unfamiliar.

Is it free? The skill and CLI are MIT-licensed. Your agent account and other services may have costs.

Does it work in ChatGPT? Not directly in chatgpt.com. The README supports coding agents including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode. Codex here means the coding agent, not ChatGPT's chat window.
